Wild strawberry jam

Ingredients

  • 1 kg strawberries
  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 150-200 ml of water (depending on the degree of ripeness of the berries)

Cooking

Step 1

Sort the strawberries, remove the sepals. Put the berries in a saucepan and sprinkle with sugar, leave for 6-8 hours.

Step 2

Pour water into the pot and put the pot on the fire. Stirring gently, bring to a boil. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, remove from heat and remove foam. Leave the jam for 5 hours, so the jam will be more fragrant, and the berries will retain their shape.

Step 3

Put the jam back on the fire and cook for 30 minutes. after boiling. Check the readiness of the syrup by dropping a drop onto a cold saucer.

Step 4

Cool the jam and arrange in sterile jars.
