Lean Pea Soup Puree

Step 1

Boil peas and potatoes until tender and mash into a puree. The thickness of the soup depends on the amount of water in which the peas and potatoes were boiled.

Step 2

Fry the cumin and mustard seeds in a preheated pan for 1 minute, add the grated garlic and ginger and cook for another minute until the garlic is transparent. We send all these spices in soup puree along with chili, bay leaf, honey, lemon juice. We cook for another 3-5 minutes. When serving, sprinkle with cilantro and mint leaves.

peas - 1 tbsp.
potatoes - 1 pc.
garlic - 2 cloves
chili - to taste
cumin - 0.5 tsp.
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
turmeric - 1 tsp. l.
honey - 1 tbsp. l.
ginger - a piece of 2 cm
lemon juice - 3 tbsp. l.
bay leaf - 2 pcs.
salt - to taste
mint and cilantro - for serving
