Very chocolate pudding with boiled orange
A wonderful recipe for chocolate pudding with orange, which can be easily prepared in a double boiler. The filling is supposed to be a whole orange, but in this case I cut it in half to cook it in molds. The pudding itself turns out to be moist, very chocolatey, perfectly combined with a caramelized, slightly tart orange.
Ingredients
- 85 g butter
- 55 g dark chocolate
- 170 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 55 g cocoa powder
- 170 g fine sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Art. l. milk
- 1 orange, preferably thin-skinned
- 85 g butter
- 85 g fine granulated sugar
Cooking
Step 1
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and place a whole orange in it. Let it simmer in a covered pot for 10 minutes. At this time, oil the pudding mold into which the orange will fit, so that it is covered with dough on top and bottom.
Step 2
Melt the butter with chocolate in a water bath.
Step 3
Separately combine flour and cocoa, add melted chocolate with butter, sugar, eggs and milk. Mix well with a mixer. Pour about two-thirds of the mixture into the pudding bowl, making a small indentation in the middle. At this point, the orange should have been cooked and its skin has become soft. Remove it carefully from the water. Prick all over with a fork or toothpick and place in the center of the pudding. You can cut the orange into wedges, remove the pits, and then put it back together again.
Step 4
Divide the butter into pieces, and grease the fruit with them, adding sugar. Then top with the remaining pudding mix. Cover with heat-resistant paper, then with foil and put in a double boiler. Cook for two hours. Remember to add water periodically.
