Waffles, Baking, Applesauce

Waffles with applesauce

Depending on your preference, these waffles can be made "harmful" but very tasty, or more healthy, but the taste will be a little simpler. I don't have a waffle iron, I bake them in special silicone molds.

Ingredients

Servings 6
  • 350 g flour. I took the first grade, this is a more useful option. You can replace it with premium wheat (less useful), or make it in half with whole grains.
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g of vegetable oil, or melted butter (of course, it is much tastier with it).
  • 75 g sugar - will be moderately sweet. If you like sweeter, take 100 g.
  • 80 g of applesauce, you can make it yourself (bake an apple in the microwave and then puree the pulp), or you can take a jar of puree.
  • 230 ml of low-fat milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • optional: vanilla extract (1 tsp) - it will be very tasty, or you can add lemon zest to the dough.

Cooking

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Step 2

Beat the eggs and sugar well with a mixer. Gradually add the rest of the ingredients while continuing to beat. The dough should look like a rather thick sour cream.

Step 3

Bake in a special waffle iron for thick waffles, or in silicone molds at 180 degrees for about 25-30 minutes. Then the waffles need to be turned over onto a baking sheet, released from the mold and dried for another three to four minutes. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
