Vareniki with cherries boiled in compote

Ingredients

  • Cherry compote - 200 gr.
  • Ground cinnamon - 1 gr.
  • Freshly frozen cherries - 45 gr.
  • Sugar - 10 g.
  • Wheat flour - 20 gr.
  • Water - 20 g.
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Vanilla sugar - 3 gr.
  • Salt - 1 gr.

Cooking

Step 1

Pour cherries with sugar, add a little cinnamon and vanilla sugar, leave for about an hour.

Step 2

To prepare the dough, break 1 egg into flour, add sugar, water and knead the dough, leave for 20 minutes under the film. Roll out thinly, cut out circles, put the filling in each, pinch tightly.

Step 3

Boil dumplings with cherries until half cooked in water. Separately, pour compote into a saucepan, add cinnamon, bring to a boil. Put the dumplings into the boiling compote, cook until tender. Put ready-made dumplings on a plate and pour over compote.
