Spicy red lentils with cilantro and walnuts
Easy to prepare, tasty, hearty, fragrant dish with oriental notes.
Ingredients
Servings 4- red lentils 1 tbsp.
- water 3 tbsp.
- onion 1 pc.
- carrots 0.5-1 pc.
- olive oil 3 tbsp. l.
- cherry tomatoes 10 pcs.
- ground black pepper
- ground sweet paprika
- salt
- ground hot pepper
- cilantro 0.5 bunch
- dried mint 1 pinch
- cumin
- dried garlic 1 pinch
- walnut kernels 2 tbsp. l.
Cooking
Step 1
Cut the onion and carrots, sauté in olive oil.
Step 2
Add cherry tomatoes cut into 4 pieces. Cook for a couple of minutes
Step 3
Then add lentils. Mix.
Step 4
Add water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cook covered for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Add salt, black and hot pepper, paprika, cumin. Mix.
Step 6
Add mint, cook another 3-5 minutes.
Step 7
Dry the walnut kernels in the oven or microwave. Chop with a knife. Add chopped cilantro and dried garlic. Mix.
Step 8
Place cooked lentils on a plate, sprinkle with nuts, cilantro and garlic. Bon appetit!
