Fragrant French toast with orange zest

Delicious light dessert on fragrant French toast.

Ingredients

  • baguette, ciabatta - 1 pc.
  • butter - 50 g
  • cognac, rum - 100 ml
  • powdered sugar - 250 g
  • orange peel - 1/2 pc.
  • custard, jam - to taste
  • apricots - 6 pcs.
  • nectarines - 6 pcs.
  • peaches - 6 pcs.

Cooking

Step 1

Cut the baguette into portions. Carefully remove the middle from them, leaving the bottom to make baskets.

Step 2

Melt the butter in a saucepan, heat the orange zest in it and then fry the slices of bread in this fragrant oil - fry for 2 minutes on each side.

Step 3

Fried toast, cool and fill 1/4 with custard or jam.

Step 4

Prepare the fruits in advance: cut into small pieces, sprinkle with powdered sugar, vanilla, pour brandy and let it brew for some time, preferably at least 30 minutes. It remains to fill the baskets with fruits.
