Braised cabbage with red currant

Cabbage with bacon, apples and red currants.

Ingredients

Servings 6
  • cabbage - 1 kg
  • red currant - 150 g
  • wine - 2 tbsp.
  • sour apples - 3 pcs.
  • bacon - 60 g
  • cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • salt pepper
  • sugar - 1 tbsp. l.
  • olive oil

Cooking

Step 1

Shred the cabbage, cut the apples and bacon into slices. Heat some oil in a saucepan and fry the bacon. Add apples.

Step 2

Add currants, sugar, cumin, splash wine.

Step 3

Add cabbage, pour some water and simmer for 1 hour covered. Salt, pepper.
