Apple and orange chutney
The taste of chutney is apple-orange with spicy notes of ginger. Perfect with various dairy cheeses and desserts.
Ingredients
- apples, peeled 1.2 kg
- oranges 2 pcs.
- raisins (optional) 130 g
- apple cider vinegar 150 ml
- sugar 150 g
- orange juice 120 ml
- water 100 ml
- cognac 2 tbsp. l.
- ginger 1/2 tsp
- turmeric 1/2 tsp. l.
- ground nutmeg flowers - makis 1/2 tsp.
Cooking
Step 1
Peeled apples and oranges cut into slices. Sprinkle fruit with vinegar, add raisins and simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Add sugar, orange juice, water and cook, stirring constantly for 40 minutes. on medium fire.
Step 3
Pour in brandy, if possible add poppy flowers, ginger, turmeric and mix everything well. Ready chutney is very good with cheese, in various desserts. Store in a cool place, in an airtight container.
