Apple and orange chutney

The taste of chutney is apple-orange with spicy notes of ginger. Perfect with various dairy cheeses and desserts.

Ingredients

  • apples, peeled 1.2 kg
  • oranges 2 pcs.
  • raisins (optional) 130 g
  • apple cider vinegar 150 ml
  • sugar 150 g
  • orange juice 120 ml
  • water 100 ml
  • cognac 2 tbsp. l.
  • ginger 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp. l.
  • ground nutmeg flowers - makis 1/2 tsp.

Cooking

Step 1

Peeled apples and oranges cut into slices. Sprinkle fruit with vinegar, add raisins and simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 2

Add sugar, orange juice, water and cook, stirring constantly for 40 minutes. on medium fire.

Step 3

Pour in brandy, if possible add poppy flowers, ginger, turmeric and mix everything well. Ready chutney is very good with cheese, in various desserts. Store in a cool place, in an airtight container.
