Sweet buns with raisins and chocolate

Butter buns with raisins and chocolate are a real treat for true sweet tooth! If you are going to cook these, do it with the expectation of an additive, because it is simply impossible to eat one and stop, such pastries are so fragrant and tasty. You don't have to worry about the rise of the dough, thanks to the use of fast-acting yeast in the recipe: it always works flawlessly and decently speeds up the process. Therefore, even a not very experienced hostess can “swipe” at buns with raisins and chocolate - at least in order to increase her culinary status in the eyes of loved ones.

Ingredients

Servings 10-12 buns
  • small dark raisins - 200 g
  • liqueur, rum or cognac - 3 tbsp. l.
  • bitter chocolate - 100 g
  • milk - 50 ml
  • powdered sugar - 150 g
  • protein - 1 pc.
  • flour - 800 g + a little more for forming buns
  • salt - on the tip of a knife
  • cornstarch - 2 tbsp. l.
  • sugar - 5 tbsp. l.
  • fast-acting dry yeast - 2 tsp.
  • milk - 300 ml
  • drinking water - 100 ml
  • butter - 200 g

Cooking

Step 1

Prepare raisins for stuffing buns. Rinse thoroughly, pat dry with paper towels and place in a bowl. Pour in liqueur, rum or cognac. Leave for 2 hours.

Step 2

Prepare the bun dough. Sift flour with salt and cornstarch into a bowl. Add sugar, yeast and stir. Pour in warm milk and water. Stir again.

Step 3

Cut the butter for the bun dough with a knife or cut into very small cubes. Add to flour mixture. Knead the dough thoroughly. Cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1 hour.

Step 4

Chop the chocolate for the bun filling. Squeeze the soaked raisins lightly. Add the prepared ingredients to the dough. Knead thoroughly and leave for 15 minutes in a warm place.

Step 5

Place the dough on a work surface lightly dusted with flour. Shape into round buns and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, 2 cm apart. Cover with a towel and leave for 1 hour.

Step 6

Heat the oven to 180°C. Brush the buns with milk and bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool. For glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and egg white. Pour the mixture over the buns and let cool.
