Pie with apples and dates

Ingredients

  • cottage cheese 200 g
  • sugar 2/3 tbsp.
  • plum oil 250 g
  • flour 2.5 tbsp.
  • vanilla sugar 10 g
  • baking powder 1 tsp
  • apples 8 pcs.
  • dates 8 pcs.
  • egg yolk 1 pc.
  • powdered sugar 1 tbsp. l.

Cooking

Step 1

In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, soft butter, sugar and vanilla sugar. Add sifted flour with baking powder. Knead a soft dough and refrigerate while you prepare the filling.

Step 2

Wash apples, peel and remove seeds.

Step 3

Cut into halves. Put half a date in each half (remove the seeds first).

Step 4

Divide the dough into 2 parts. Roll out one part and lay out in a mold (20x30). Place the apples on top of the dough, stuffing side down.

Step 5

Roll out the second layer of dough and cover the apples (it is convenient to do this on a silicone mat, then carefully transfer it to the mold), tuck the edges of the pie. Top with egg yolk.

Step 6

Bake the cake in a hot oven at 180º for 40-50 minutes, until golden brown on top.
