Dried apricot spread for pancakes

Try to find the most nondescript dried apricots for this dish - you don’t need to cook for the sake of beautiful photos. Wrinkled and dark dried apricots - the most useful and fragrant

Ingredients

Servings 8
  • 400 g of dried apricots
  • 1 large juicy lemon
  • 120 g brown sugar
  • 2 buds of cloves
  • a pinch of salt

Cooking

Step 1

Boil the syrup: pour 100 ml of water into a saucepan, add sugar, salt and cloves. Bring to a boil and cook until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from fire.

Step 2

Pour dried apricots with the resulting hot syrup and leave for 1 hour.

Step 3

Wash the lemon with a brush, dry it. Remove the zest with a fine grater, pour into dried apricots. Cut the lemon in half, squeeze the juice out of it and add to the dried apricots. Remove cloves from dried apricots. Grind the dried apricots along with the liquid in a food processor or blender into a more or less homogeneous mass, preferably in small pieces.
