Carrot orange cake

A light cake with shortbread cakes will certainly please the sweet tooth during a long fast.

Ingredients

  • grated carrots or cake - 150 g
  • margarine - 100 g
  • flour - 300-350 g
  • soda - 1 tsp slaked with vinegar
  • orange juice - 500 ml
  • orange syrup - 50 ml
  • sugar - 50 g
  • semolina - 3 tbsp. l.

Cooking

Step 1

From carrots, margarine, soda and flour, knead a dense dough. Divide into 5-6 parts and roll each on parchment into a pancake. Bake each pancake for 5-7 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool.

Step 2

Bring orange juice to a boil, add sugar, if you need sweeter, then increase the amount of sugar to your liking. Slowly, stirring constantly, add semolina and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. After that, cool the porridge a little and beat for 5-10 minutes at a high mixer speed. Let cool completely.

Step 3

We collect the cake: pour the cake with syrup and spread the semolina cream, again the cake, etc. The last cake can not be watered with syrup. Cream smear the sides and let it brew for 2 hours in the refrigerator. You can decorate with chocolate on top.
