Tea cake

Ingredients

Servings 12
  • 1 st. l. black loose tea
  • 1 st. water
  • 1 st. jam
  • 1/2 st. Sahara
  • 1.5 st. flour
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 2.5 st. l. vegetable oil
  • 1-2 tsp lemon juice for baking soda
  • 3/4 tbsp. custard cream
  • nuts, fruits, berries for decoration

Cooking

Step 1

Brew strong tea with 1 cup of hot water. Measure the jam into a bowl and add the cooled tea leaves.

Step 2

Add sugar, salt and 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil, egg. Stir the mixture until smooth.

Step 3

Sift the flour and add to the mixture in 2-3 doses, mix thoroughly again. Lastly, add slaked soda. Grease the form with the remaining oil and lay out the dough. Put to bake in an oven preheated to 200'C.

Step 4

Cool the finished cake, cut into portioned cakes and can be served. Also, the cupcake can be decorated with custard, fruits, nuts and berries.
