Pear jam with apple juice
In the season of apples, what we just don’t do from them. We don’t even pick it up from the ground and we don’t collect it from the tree, completely exhausted. But apple juice is sacred. It cannot be done! And if there is too much of it, make jam with it. For example, from pears.
Ingredients
- 1 kg small firm spiced pears
- 800 g sugar
- 300 ml filtered apple juice
- juice of half a lemon
Cooking
Step 1
Peel the pears, cut in half, remove the core. Cut into medium pieces. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with sugar. Shake the bowl a few times to distribute the sugar evenly. Place in refrigerator for 24 hours.
Step 2
Transfer the contents of the bowl to a saucepan. Add apple juice and cook over low heat until thickened. Seal, turn upside down until completely cool.
