Ingredients

Servings 4
  • vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 250 g (0.5 pack) puff pastry
  • sugar - 2 tsp.
  • 100 g raw champignons
  • egg - 1 pc
  • onion - 1 onion
  • fine sea salt
  • For marinade:
  • 600 g beef tenderloin
  • 300 ml dry red wine
  • mustard

Cooking

Step 1

1. Mix all the ingredients of the marinade, pour over the meat and set aside for 2 hours. Remove the meat from the marinade and fry it in hot oil on all sides until golden brown. Remove the pan from the heat, transfer the meat to a plate, let cool. 2. Thinly slice mushrooms and onions. Fry in the same pan for 5 minutes. On the meat, make a deep longitudinal incision, put mushrooms with onions into it. 3. Put the meat on the rolled out dough. Cut the dough into strips on the sides, lay them on the meat in the form of a braid. Brush with egg. Bake in a preheated oven at 200ºC for 30 minutes. Serve hot. Tip For this recipe, you can use not only the tenderloin, but also other parts of the beef carcass. But in this case, after frying the meat, it must be stewed over low heat under a lid for 40-50 minutes.
