Duck breast with rice and spicy carrot sauce

Delicious, healthy dish with rice and bright sauce! Easy and quick to prepare, adjust the spiciness of the sauce to taste or even make the sauce sweet and spicy without chili!

Ingredients

  • duck breast - 1 pc.
  • salt - to taste
  • ground red hot pepper - to taste
  • carrots (for 100 ml of juice) - 2 pcs.
  • water - 100 ml
  • flour (heaped) - 1 tsp
  • nutmeg - to taste
  • hot red pepper (dried pod) - 1 pc.
  • boiled rice - to taste

Cooking

Step 1

Make slits in the skin of the breast and season with salt and pepper on both sides.

Step 2

Fry the breast on both sides, starting from the side of the skin. Close the lid and bring to your favorite degree of roasting.

Step 3

Squeeze juice from carrots, getting 100 ml.

Step 4

Dilute the juice with water, add flour, mix well without lumps, add the rest of the ingredients for the sauce (if you don’t like spicy, don’t add a pepper pod).

Step 5

Bring the sauce to a boil, boil over low heat with stirring for several minutes until the desired thickness. The pepper pod can be removed at any time, thereby making the sauce spicier or vice versa. Strain the finished sauce into a gravy boat.

Step 6

Put the breast slices on the rice and pour over the sauce, serve, decorating with herbs!
