Our cottage cheese casserole can safely claim the title of dessert, it is so refined, thanks to a layer of apples in the middle. Adding semolina to the casserole makes it surprisingly tender, literally melting in your mouth. Such a cottage cheese casserole with apples is especially liked by children, even those who usually do not like it too much.
Ingredients
Servings 8 servings- large eggs - 3 pcs.
- sugar - 3-4 tbsp. l.
- cottage cheese - 750 g
- semolina - 4-5 tsp.
- grated zest of 1 lemon
- vanilla sugar - 1/2 tsp
- large apples - 2 pcs.
- butter - 10 g
- breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp. l.
Cooking
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients for the casserole. First, separate one egg into yolk and white. Remove the yolk before use. Beat the remaining eggs and protein with a mixer with sugar until fluffy.
Step 2
Rub the cottage cheese for the casserole through a fine metal sieve into a bowl. Add semolina, grated lemon zest and vanilla sugar. Mix thoroughly. Add beaten eggs with sugar to the curd mass. Stir again.
Step 3
Wash the apples, pat dry and cut each in half. Remove cores with seeds. Apples can be peeled if desired. Cut the fruits into thin slices.
Step 4
Put half of the curd mass prepared earlier in a baking dish greased with butter and sprinkled with breadcrumbs. Smooth out with a spatula.
Step 5
Spread sliced apples on top, then the second half of the curd mass. Beat the remaining yolk lightly and brush the surface of the future apple casserole with it. Using a spoon, draw a "wave" pattern. Bake the cottage cheese casserole for 40 minutes at 180°C.
