Chocolate, Almond, Cookies, Amaretto, Biscotti

Chocolate biscotti with almonds

And another new recipe for your favorite biscotti. For him, I decided to use two types of chocolate and Amaretto liqueur, which, however, can be easily replaced with rum. These biscotti are not very hard, but not soft either, that is, such a golden mean.

Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g milk chocolate
  • 1 tsp top of baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 40 g butter at room temperature
  • 100 g almonds
  • 2 tbsp. l. Amaretto (can be substituted for rum)

Cooking

Step 1

Set the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.

Step 2

Melt the chocolate in a water bath. When it starts to melt, add butter, and when it melts completely, pour in Amaretto or rum. Do not allow boiling water to come into contact with the dishes in which chocolate is melted, as well as very intense boiling, otherwise the chocolate will overheat.

Step 3

Mix all other ingredients, except nuts, until smooth. Add the slightly cooled melted chocolate, nuts and mix well again. The dough should be about the same consistency as in the photo.

Step 4

Divide the dough into two parts and roll each into a long sausage. So that the dough does not stick to your hands, grease your palms with vegetable oil. Place the sausages on a baking sheet, oiled or lined with parchment. Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes.

Step 5

Remove the baking sheet (do not turn off the oven), let cool for 5 minutes and cut the sausages obliquely into slices, about 1.5 cm thick. It is convenient to do this with a knife with a serrated blade. Put the slices back on the baking sheet and dry for 10-12 minutes

Step 6

Let the biscotti cool and store in a jar with a screw cap. Take two pieces every morning with a cup of coffee :)
