Chicken with figs and pine nuts
When the time for figs begins, you need to seize the moment. Figs with pine nuts, baked with red onion, rosemary, honey and chicken - just extraordinarily tasty.
Ingredients
Servings 6- chicken (thighs or drumsticks) - 1 kg
- red onion - 1 pc.
- garlic - 2 teeth
- olive oil - 5 tbsp. l.
- rosemary - 1 sprig
- salt pepper
- parsley
- white wine - 150 ml
- fresh figs - 8 pcs.
- pine nuts - 40 g
- honey - 2 tbsp. l.
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
Cooking
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Onion cut into rings. Fry the onion in 3 tbsp. l. oil in a frying pan, salt and pepper.
Step 2
Rinse and pat dry chicken, season with salt and pepper. Crush the garlic, pick the leaves of rosemary, finely chop the parsley. Grate the chicken. Spray with oil.
Step 3
Add onion, wine. Bake 45 minutes.
Step 4
Cut figs into slices. Fry in a pan with nuts, add honey, lemon juice.
Step 5
Spread fig mixture over chicken. Bake another 15 minutes.
