White chocolate mousse with strawberries

Strawberries are rightfully considered the queen of summer desserts. In our recipe, its sourness favorably sets off the white chocolate mousse.

Ingredients

Servings 6
  • 250 g white chocolate
  • 500 g strawberries
  • 1.5 cups 35% fat cream
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 1 st. l. Teddy bear
  • 3 art. l. chopped pistachios

Cooking

Step 1

Chop the chocolate into small pieces and place in a bowl. Pour 1/2 cup cream into a saucepan. Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds and add to the cream. Place the saucepan over medium heat and heat until bubbles start to form on the surface, but do not bring the cream to a boil. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate, leave for 3 minutes, and then beat with an electric mixer until the chocolate is completely combined with the cream. Cover the bowl with cling film and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Step 2

Beat the remaining cream with an electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form, add the honey and continue beating until stiff peaks form.

Step 3

Take the bowl of chocolate out of the fridge, add the whipped cream and mix gently.

Step 4

Cut the strawberries into cubes and arrange in 6 glasses or bowls. Spread mousse over strawberries. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios before serving.
