The most delicious cake in the world

I inherited this Easter cake recipe from my mother-in-law, and she inherited it from her mother-in-law. It is no secret that the recipes carried through the years are the most successful, filled with history and warmth. Everyone who has tried this cake will confirm and unanimously! No wonder I gave him such an immodest name. And don't let the simplicity of the recipe fool you, the most important thing is to add love!

Ingredients

  • milk - 500 ml
  • sugar - 500 g
  • fresh yeast - 50 g
  • sol - 1 h. l.
  • egg - 4 pcs.
  • butter - 200 g
  • sour cream - 100 g
  • flour - approximately 1 kg
  • cardamom - 0.5 tsp. l.
  • nutmeg - 0.5 tsp
  • saffron - 10 stigmas
  • raisins - 1 tbsp.
  • vanilla - 1 pod

Cooking

Step 1

Soak raisins overnight in liqueur, cognac or orange juice. Saffron pour 20 ml. vodka or alcohol.

Step 2

Break open the vanilla pod and pour over the milk. Heat milk to 40 degrees. Let it brew, strain. Melt butter and cool to body temperature.

Step 3

Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm milk. Add salt, eggs, sour cream, butter and "spirits". Add flour and knead the dough. It doesn't have to be cool! Add raisins, knead again and leave in a warm place.

Step 4

In total, the dough should be suitable for 8 hours. As necessary, it must be lowered and crushed. Approximately 2-3 times. After 8 hours, knead for the last time, spread out into molds by 1/3 and let rise for the last time. Bake at 180 degrees for 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the pan.
