Pigs with marzipan
Not only children, but also adults will not be able to resist this funny delicacy. By the way, participation in the preparation of "pigs" will give your child untold pleasure.
Ingredients
Servings 20-25 pieces- 50 g of chocolate
- 1.5 st. l. water
- 2 eggs (2 whites + 2 yolks)
- lemon
- 0.5 cup powdered sugar
- 0.5 cup almonds
- 0.5 cups of granulated sugar
- 60 g sugar
- salt
- 0.25 liters of milk
- 60 g butter (for greasing the pan)
- egg - 1 pc
- 10 g dry yeast
- flour - 500 g
Cooking
Step 1
Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Sift flour with salt into a bowl. Add yeast, sugar, 1 egg and remaining milk. Knead the dough, cover and leave for 30 minutes. in a warm place.
Step 2
Prepare the marzipan mixture Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Dip the almonds in boiling water for 2 minutes, put them in a colander, remove the skin. Fry the kernels in a dry hot frying pan for 10 minutes, then chop in a blender. Mix sugar, chopped almonds and 1.5 tbsp. l. water; put the mixture on low heat and cook, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes. Remove from fire, cool. Pass through a meat grinder. Add 1 egg white and lemon juice to marzipan, stir.
Step 3
Roll out the dough into a layer 0.5 cm thick. Cut out 20 circles with a diameter of 8 cm and 10 circles with a diameter of 4 cm - for patches. From the rest of the dough, cut out small triangles - for the ears.
Step 4
Put marzipan on 10 large circles, grease the edges with yolk. Cover with the remaining large circles and press down.
Step 5
Attach patches and ears. Preheat the oven to 200ºС. Put the piglets on a baking sheet, greased with oil, and leave for 15 minutes. Lubricate with the remaining yolk. Put in the oven and bake for 15 minutes; let cool. Grind the remaining protein with powdered sugar into a thick fudge. Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Make eyes out of fondant, and pupils out of chocolate; let it freeze.
