Focaccia with cheese
Focaccia is a traditional Italian round bread. Often it is baked, sprinkled with herbs, chopped olives or sun-dried tomatoes on top. Focaccia with basil pesto and cheese is very popular.
Ingredients
Servings 10- salt - a pinch
- dry yeast - 1 tsp
- flour - 200 g
- 110 ml warm water
- olive oil
- sugar - 1 tsp.
- 150 g blue cheese
- salt
- 200 g Philadelphia cream cheese

Step 1
1. Sift flour, add salt and sugar. Dissolve yeast in warm water, gradually add flour while stirring. Knead the dough. 2. Grease a deep bowl with olive oil, put the dough in it, cover with cling film and leave in a warm place. After 45 min. Punch down the dough, cover again with cling film and leave for another 30 minutes. 3. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Roll each part into a round thin cake, carefully trim the edges. Put the cakes one on top of the other, roll out again. 4. Preheat the oven to 220ºС. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper, then brush with olive oil. Add focaccia, bake 10 minutes. Take the cake out of the oven, let it cool down a bit. Do not turn off the oven. Divide the foccacia into 2 tortillas. 5. Mix both types of cheese. Lubricate one cake with the resulting mixture, cover the second. 6. Brush the surface of the focaccia with olive oil, sprinkle with coarse salt and pepper.
