Cottage cheese casserole with apples and pears
Do you want to surprise your loved ones? Prepare for them a cottage cheese casserole with apples and pears according to our recipe! It is completely different from the traditional one, especially the one that was once offered to us in kindergartens and schools. Rather, this is not even a casserole, but an amazingly delicate dessert, in which a delicate sweet taste harmoniously combines with the sourness of fruits and fresh citrus notes. Simply amazing! Note that the preparation of this curd casserole with apples and pears does not require special culinary skills, so both an experienced hostess and a beginner can take up the recipe.
Ingredients
Servings 4- cottage cheese with a fat content of 7-9% - 400 g
- medium-sized eggs - 2 pcs.
- powdered sugar - 100 g
- salt - on the tip of a knife
- milk - 50 ml
- semolina - 100 g + a little more to prepare the form
- large pear - 1 pc.
- large sweet and sour apple - 1 pc.
- butter - 30 g
- juice of 1 lemon
- honey - 1 tbsp. l.
- grated orange peel - 1 tbsp. l.
Cooking
Step 1
Prepare cottage cheese for casserole with apples and pears. To get a uniform consistency, rub it through a fine metal sieve into a large bowl.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with a mixer with powdered sugar and salt until a fluffy creamy mass is obtained. Add milk, semolina and cottage cheese. Whisk well again and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 3
Wash the pear and apple for the casserole, then peel it. Cut the fruit into quarters and remove the cores with seeds, cut into small cubes.
Step 4
Melt 20 g butter in a small frying pan. Put the chopped apple and pear, then, stirring gently, fry the fruit over high heat for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
Reduce heat to medium. Add lemon juice, honey and orange zest. Stir in the fruit, then cook, shaking the pan gently, for 3 more minutes.
Step 6
Grease a heat-resistant detachable form with a diameter of 20 cm with the remaining butter and sprinkle with semolina. Lay out half of the curd mass and distribute the fruit on top (save the syrup).
Step 7
Pour in the remaining curd mixture and smooth it out gently with a spatula. Bake for 40 minutes at 180°C. Turn off the oven and, with the door slightly open, let the casserole cool for 10-15 minutes. Serve on the table, pouring the remaining syrup.
