Coleslaw salad original
Coleslaw is served in American cafes and restaurants as a side dish. Overseas, in catering establishments, this dish is a little sweet in taste. The culinary secret is to use sweet carrots and sugar as a seasoning. The healthy base of the salad is carrots and cabbage, the rest is a tasty dressing. A mixture of sour cream, mayonnaise and mustard is used as a sauce. You can change the fat content of the sauce by using different proportions of sour cream and mayonnaise.
Ingredients
Servings 4- White cabbage - 300 g
- Carrots - 200 g
- Mayonnaise - 50 g
- Sour cream - 75 g
- Mustard - 16 g
- Lemon juice - 10 g
- Sugar - 16 g
Cooking
Step 1
Prepare the vegetables. Cut the cabbage and carrots into thin strips.
Step 2
Prepare the dressing. Mix mayonnaise, sour cream and mustard, stir everything together.
Step 3
Finish preparing the salad. Salt the salad to taste, add sugar and lemon juice. Pour the dressing over and mix. Serve in a salad bowl.
