Baked pear in puff pastry with honey syrup
Ingredients
Servings 5- puff pastry - 500 g
- pears - 5 pcs.
- water - 4 tbsp.
- sugar - 1 tbsp.
- honey - 4 tbsp. l.
- vanilla - 1 tsp. l.
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
Cooking
Step 1
Peel the pears, do not remove the tail.
Step 2
Put all the syrup ingredients in a heavy bottomed saucepan. Boil. Put peeled pears, cook over medium heat for about 20-40 minutes. The time depends on the initial hardness of the pears, I cooked for 30 minutes, the pears should become soft, soaked in syrup, but not fall apart. Transfer the cooked pears to a plate and set aside.
Step 3
Leave the syrup to boil over medium heat without a lid, it should boil down by about 2-3 times. After cooling, the syrup should be of medium fluidity, not liquid and not too thick.
Step 4
Unfold the dough, roll out a little in one direction. Cut into long strips 1-1.5 cm wide.
Step 5
Start wrapping the pear with a strip of dough, starting from the bottom. Wrap to the very top (glue the ends of the strips together).
Step 6
Put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Bake for approximately 30-40 minutes. or until lightly golden. Cool down.
Step 7
Pour a little syrup onto a dessert plate. Put a pear in the center in the dough, serve with a knife and fork.
