Thousand Island salad dressing
Dressing is best with dense, nutritious vegetables; you can also add meat and cheese to the signature salad. This thick, spicy spread can be spread on wholemeal bread with a slice of turkey, Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Art. l. ketchup
- 2 tbsp. l. coarsely chopped pickled cucumbers
- 2 tbsp. l. coarsely chopped green olives
- 1 tsp spicy chili paste
Cooking
Step 1
In a bowl, mix homemade mayonnaise, ketchup, chili paste, cucumbers and olives. This dressing can be stored in the refrigerator in a tightly closed container for up to one week.
