Zeppelins are airships, and they are also potato zrazy, a traditional dish of Lithuanian cuisine.
Peel raw potatoes and grate them on a fine grater, squeeze through gauze, add starch, salt and mix with boiled potatoes, passed through a meat grinder. Finely chop the onion, add spices and mix with minced meat.
Blind oblong cups from the potato mass, put minced meat inside and form zrazy in the form of airships.
Carefully lower the zeppelins one by one into the boiling salted water, trying not to stop the water from boiling. Cook for 20-25 minutes.
For the sauce, cut the lard into cubes and fry until melted. Add finely chopped onion and fry until golden brown. Add sour cream.
If desired, ready-made zeppelins can be fried in vegetable oil. Drizzle the sauce over the zeppelins before serving.
