Prepare the sausages. Fry the sausages in vegetable oil until golden brown. Transfer the fried sausages to a separate bowl.
Prepare the frying. Fry the carrots and onions in the remaining oil until golden brown. Add the garlic to the carrots and onions. Transfer the frying to a separate bowl.
Prepare the cabbage. Fry the cabbage in a frying pan for a while. Add water, bay leaf, and black pepper. Simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Prepare the solyanka. Add the fried cabbage, tomato paste, vinegar, sugar, salt and paprika. Simmer for 3 minutes. Add the sausages and sour cream. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
