Chickpea cutlets - a recipe for a simple Lenten dish made from Turkish peas. To make delicious chickpea cutlets, the beans need to be soaked in water for 10 hours. Chickpea cutlets are vegetarian, chickpeas cope well with replenishing the protein norm. Cooking chickpea cutlets takes little time, but the result is excellent. In Turkey, chickpeas are called golden grain. And this is well deserved. Peas help prolong youth, improve digestion and strengthen the immune system.
Step 1

Boil the chickpeas. Add the soaked chickpeas to salted water and cook for 1 hour, then drain the water. Grind the peas into a puree, add garlic, salt, pepper and mix.
Step 2

Fry the chickpea cutlets. Place breadcrumbs on a plate. Form round cutlets by hand and roll them in breadcrumbs. Fry the cutlets in a hot frying pan with vegetable oil for 4-5 minutes on each side.
