The preparation of this dish of Indian cuisine will take you quite a bit of time and effort. It can be served both as a main dish and as a side dish.
Rinse rice, pour 0.5 liters of water, leave for 30 minutes.
Finely chop the onion, fry in vegetable oil until translucent, 5 minutes. Add zira, fry everything together for 1 minute.
Pour the water from under the rice into a saucepan, bring to a boil, salt, add the rice. Bring to a boil again, add onion with cumin.
Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, over very low heat for 15-20 minutes, until all the water has been absorbed.
Drain water from peas. Add the peas to the rice pot and stir. Serve sprinkled with finely chopped cilantro and fried onions.
