
Cook the cereal. Place a saucepan with water on medium heat, and when it boils, add the rice and cook, stirring, for 5-10 minutes until the rice absorbs some of the water. Do not cover the saucepan with a lid.

Add rice to milk. To do this, put rice in a sieve or strainer and let excess water drain. Pour milk into a saucepan and put on medium heat. When the milk warms up a little, add rice, salt, sugar and reduce heat. Cook the porridge for another 15-20 minutes, remembering to stir.

Let the porridge sit. Remove the pan from the heat, stir thoroughly, cover with a lid and leave for 10 minutes.
