Don't miss the summer berry season, try making this summer drink. If you have not acquired your own hacienda, where the branches of the bushes bend under the weight of berries, you can ask a neighbor-cottage resident for a sprig of blackcurrant.
Sort the berries, removing the branches. Put the currants in a sieve, set over a bowl. Mash with a crush, squeeze out the juice.
Put the pomace in a saucepan, fill with bottled water, add lemon balm and a blackcurrant leaf, bring to a boil over low heat. Boil 5 min. Then remove from heat, leave covered for 20 minutes.
Strain fruit drink, mix with squeezed currant juice and honey, stir until honey dissolves. Serve warm or chilled.
