You don't have to wait for a special occasion to cook these chops. Delicious and juicy, they will be a great weekday dinner or a great treat for the holidays.
Kindle the coal, wait for it to turn into white ash. Or heat up a grill pan.
Prepare frosting. Pour apple juice and wine into a saucepan, add honey, mustard, salt and chili flakes. Bring to a boil and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika and chili flakes, garlic powder, salt and black pepper. Stir the mixture thoroughly with a fork. Pour in the oil and mix well again, you will get a thick paste.
Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel, then rub all over with the spicy paste.
Place the chops on the grill and brush with the glaze. Fry for 6 minutes, turn over and brush the meat glaze on the other side. Cook 2 minutes, flip again and brush with glaze. Continue grilling the meat, turning and brushing with glaze every 2 minutes, until cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes.
In parallel with the meat, cook the apples. Cut them in half, if large - into four parts, remove the bones. Brush the cut with glaze and place on the grill grate. Roast the apples for 5-6 minutes without turning. Halfway through cooking, brush the apple slice again with icing.
