Beat the eggs with sugar until fluffy, add softened butter, continuing to beat.
Add milk and continue beating. Next, add flour with baking powder, vanilla and a pinch of salt.
We spread the dough in a greased form, and put nectarines (peaches or apricots), cut into halves or quarters, on top. Just lay them out cut side up.
We bake 40-45 minutes. at 180°C. After 25 min. baking, sprinkle the cake with sugar to taste. The cake turns out very tasty - so tender and fragrant. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
