Sterilize the jar with the lid in the oven. Place the jar with the lid in a preheated oven at 110C for 20 minutes.
Remove the base and seeds from the pepper. Cut the pepper into cubes.
Pour honey, water, salt and pepper into a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes with the lid on until the pepper texture becomes soft.
Pour the contents into a sterilized jar and seal.
