Prepare fruits and vegetables for pickling. Boil water. Put cloves on the bottom of the jar. Place pepper, bay leaf, cherry and currant leaves on top. Add dill and garlic. Fill the jars with cucumbers and apples. Pour boiling water over them and leave for 20 minutes.
Make a marinade. Drain the brine from the jars into a saucepan. Add sugar and salt, bring to a boil and pour into the jar again. Leave for 10 minutes. Drain the brine again, bring to a boil and pour the hot marinade over the cucumbers, add vinegar to the jar and roll up. Turn upside down, cover with a warm cloth until cool. Put in a cool place.
