Ingredients

Mulled wine is a cold-weather drink made from "winter" fruits (oranges, lemons, apples). The mandatory set of spices for mulled wine includes cinnamon and cloves. You can add some ground ginger and nutmeg.

Step 1

1. Boil water. Pour tea into a glass, pour boiling water over it, cover; let it brew for 5 min. When the tea is brewed, strain it through a fine sieve. 2. Wash the apple and lemon. Cut the apple in half, remove the core. With a thin sharp knife, make narrow longitudinal grooves on the lemon peel. Cut the apple into slices, and the lemon into thin circles. 3. Pour red wine into a heavy-bottomed saucepan. 4. Add tea, sugar, apple, lemon and mulled wine spice mix. Put on fire, heat strongly, but in no case boil. Pour immediately into mugs or tall glasses.
