Lightly salted cucumbers
Ingredients
- Cucumber - 1500 g
- Dried dill - 20 g
- Garlic - 25 g
- Salt - 50 g
- Water (boiling water) - 1000 g
Lightly salted cucumbers are a traditional dish of Belarusian, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian and a number of other cuisines of the world, which is prepared from cucumbers using a short-term salting method. To quickly prepare delicious lightly salted cucumbers in water, you need to take small (but not gherkins), bright green, pimply and firm fruits with thin skin. Then the snack will be crispy. For brine, it is better to take coarse rock salt (not sea salt) without iodine. At home, it is easy to prepare cucumbers this way even in winter.
Step 1

Place dill and garlic on the bottom of the jar. Pack the jar tightly with cucumbers. Add salt.
Step 2

Fill the jar with cucumbers to the top with boiling water. Close the lid. Gently swirl the jar in different directions to disperse the salt. When the cucumbers have cooled, put them in the refrigerator or serve immediately.
