Preheat oven to 200˚C. In the bowl of a food processor, combine butter, sugar and flour. Pour into a 24 cm baking dish and flatten with your hands.
Beat the cottage cheese, egg, sugar and vanilla extract with a mixer. Transfer to dough.
Remove pits from cherries. Mix cherries, sugar and cinnamon. Put on the curd filling. Sprinkle the cake with almond flakes.
Place the cake in the oven and bake for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 175°C and bake for another 25 minutes. Cool the finished cake in the form.
