Finely chop the bacon. Peel the garlic, chop it as finely as possible. You can pass it through a garlic press.
Finely chop the basil.
Add bacon to a frying pan heated with butter and fry it.
Add garlic, basil and cream to the pan with the bacon
Add salt and pepper to taste, mix well, cover and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Grate the Parmesan on a fine grater and add to the pan. Reduce the heat to low and stir the sauce thoroughly until the cheese melts. The carbonara sauce is ready!
