
Pierce each pepper in several places with a fork.

Place the peppers in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring the water to a boil and remove the saucepan from the heat.

Remove the peppers from the water. Add vinegar, oil, salt, sugar and tomato juice to the water in which the peppers were boiled. Bring the marinade to a boil, stirring constantly.

Add peppers to the marinade and simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Place the peppers in a sterilized jar and pour the tomato marinade over them.

Cover the container with a lid, turn it over and wrap it in a towel. Let the dish cool and infuse.
