Buckwheat with mushrooms
Ingredients
- Buckwheat - 200 g
- Onions - 80 g
- Champignons - 300 g
- Refined sunflower oil - 20 g
- Water - 500 g
India is considered the birthplace of buckwheat: it was grown there 5,000 years ago. First, it spread across Asia, then reached Europe. Interestingly, in Greece it was called Turkish cereal, and in Spain and Italy - Arabic. In Western Europe, buckwheat did not take root as a dish, but in Russia it is very popular. There are many ways to cook it. Buckwheat with mushrooms and onions in a frying pan is one of these options.
Step 1

In a frying pan with heated oil over medium heat, fry the onion for 2 minutes. Add the mushrooms, salt, pepper and cook for another 7 minutes.
Step 2

Place the buckwheat in a frying pan and pour in water. When the water boils, cover the pan with a lid and simmer the buckwheat over low heat for 20 minutes (until the water evaporates).
