A biscuit with cherries is an uncomplicated pastry from folk French cuisine. Emphatically careless, it creates the mood of a serene summer. To enjoy such baking, you don’t need much at all - just choose the highest quality ingredients, first of all - butter.
Pour flour into a bowl, add sugar and salt to it, mix.
Cut the butter into small pieces to the crumbly mixture, grind everything into crumbs, add one egg and water, knead the dough. Roll the dough into a ball, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Wash the cherries, remove the pits. After the dough has cooled, divide it into 4 parts and roll out. Put the cherry in the middle, wrap the edges, grease them with yolk.
We put in the oven for 20 minutes. at 180 degrees. Served with freshly brewed tea.
