Prepare the vegetables. Stew the pickles in a separate frying pan until soft for 5-7 minutes. Fry the potatoes separately until golden brown, add salt.
Prepare beef azu. Heat a small amount of oil in a cauldron or a frying pan with a thick bottom. Add the meat sticks and fry them until golden brown. Add the onion, chopped tomatoes. Stir. Combine the tomato paste with 1/2 cup of water and pour into the fried meat. Add the bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Add the fried pickles and potatoes. Stir.
